Compostable Fiber Bowls

Pure Compostables manufactures fiber bowls for restaurants, catering kitchens, meal-prep operations, and grocery prepared-food programs. Material formulations are built around plant-based bagasse, molded fiber, and PLA. Stocked sizes include 11.5 oz, 12 oz, 16 oz, 24 oz, 32 oz, and 36 oz.

What sets our fiber bowls apart

  • Hot-, cold-, and freezer-rated. Bagasse and PLA-fiber bowls handle the full kitchen-to-customer temperature range without softening or cracking.
  • Stack-stable. Sized for prep-line dispensers; rims match our compostable lids range.
  • Cut-resistant fiber. Molded plant fiber bowls don’t tear under standard catering volumes.

Certifications and compliance

Compostability claims are backed by certification from BPI, TUV Austria, DIN CERTCO, and (where applicable) ABA for Australia and New Zealand. We test against ASTM D6400 — 90% biodegradation in 180 days, full disintegration in 84 days, ecotoxicity, and heavy-metal limits — before any SKU ships. Our team holds the certificates internally and can supply documentation on request.

OEM, private label, and bulk orders

Our OEM and ODM workflow runs in parallel to stock SKU sales. You send vector artwork (PDF/AI) at print resolution; we return a digital proof for sign-off. For flexo runs, a physical match-print proof goes out before plates are committed. Lead time is typically 4–6 weeks from final artwork approval through production. We document spec sheets, certificates of analysis, and chain-of-custody for compliance.

Frequently asked questions

Are these bowls microwave-safe?

Bagasse and molded fiber bowls are microwave-safe; pure PLA bowls are not (PLA softens above ~110°F).

Will hot soup leak?

No — molded fiber bowls hold liquid up to ~220°F without softening, and lid seals are designed for to-go transport.
